Position Summary: To provide support to doctors and assistants in a timely manner and assist with discharge of patients.

  • Stocks ice packs and makes bags for recovery rooms
  • Makes gauze and syringe packs for patients to take home
  • Does laundry, including the folding once cleaned and dried
  • Labels all autoclave bags and envelopes
  • Keeps forceps organized in rooms
  • Helps empty trash in each operatory and central before lunch and at end of each day
  • Helps clean operatory rooms between patients
  • Helps set up operatory for upcoming surgeries
  • Cleans recovery rooms in between patients
  • Performs x-rays as needed
  • Helps central answer post-op concern calls as needed
  • Assists with discharge of patients and safely assist patients to their escortโ€™s automobile
  • Changes patients gauze before discharging
  • Provides support for ongoing surgeries
  • Assists with local anesthesia surgeries if trained
  • Assists central as needed with production of surgical trays
  • Completes calls backs of patients that SAS discharged
  • Logs call back of patients and last blood pressures in computer
  • Makes packets for front office when work is finished
  • Makes sure call backs are completed the same day as surgery
  • Responsible for all call backs for patients having surgery
  • Retrieves post op patients from rooms and helps recovery process to holding area
  • Maintains upmost confidentiality
  • Any duties required to maintain patient flow and any other extra duties office clinical manager assigns
