Job description

Class Summary Job Description This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs related to the meter services/repair group. Employees in this group generally work independently (solo) performing water meter related maintenance and repairs. Employees interact face to face with customers assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Essential Duties Perform preventive maintenance; inspecting equipment and materials for proper installation and potential problems or hazards Replace, install and test residential and commercial meters Utilize specialized equipment and computers to analyze data and enter field work orders. Assist customers with on-site questions and concerns regarding utility services Complete forms and report detailed activities and findings Maintain and stock assigned service truck with necessary equipment and materials used to complete tasks. Work in confined spaces; also involves squatting, kneeling, lifting and excavating with shovels and other hand tools.

Performing other duties of a similar nature or level Other Job Requirements/Information This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing. This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - to be obtained within 12 months of employment WR Trades Associate III - B233 - $53,286.00 - $85,258.00 Annually High School Diploma, or G.E.D AND Four years of related work experience An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered
