Job description

Role SnapshotOur Senior IT Change Control Analyst plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the change management process within the organization. This Senior Analyst is responsible for monitoring the change request queue, ensuring changes are reviewed, scheduled, and implemented efficiently while minimizing risk to business operations. They will collaborate closely with change submitters, business stakeholders, and leadership to identify potential conflicts and determine optimal timing for changes to production systems. In addition to handling standard change requests, they are also responsible for processing expedited and emergency changes as needed. Our Sr IT Change Control analyst will lead the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and facilitates discussions and approvals. This role is part of a cross-functional team that supports both change control and major incident management to ensure stability and continuity of IT services.
Salary Range$80,000 ~ $110,000The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Hybrid Work
This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into the Office 3 days (Tue - Thurs) a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI.

  • Like to manage Major Incidents in collaboration with the Major Incident Management team to ensure change-related incidents are managed effectively.
  • Thrive when contributing to the continuous improvement of change management processes and tools.
  • Enjoy providing reports and metrics related to change activities, success rates, and trends to leadership and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • US. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent post high school education and/or work-related experience.
  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in IT Change Management, IT Operations, or a related IT Service Management (ITSM) role.
  • 2 or more years with ITSM Change Management processes, including planning, reviewing, and coordinating change requests.
  • Current ITIL Foundation 4 certification or obtained within 1 year of service.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Incident Management and Major Incident Management processes, especially in high-impact or time-sensitive scenarios.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT systems, tools, and infrastructure, including servers, networks, applications, and production environments this also includes:
    • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms (e.g., BMC Remedy, Cherwell, Jira Service Management).
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences.
    • Solid stakeholder engagement, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to interactions.
    • Project management experience, particularly involving coordination of cross-functional IT initiatives or deployments.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 or more years of progressive experience in IT Change Management, IT Operations, or a related IT Service Management (ITSM) role.
  • 5 or more years with ITSM Change Management processes, including planning, reviewing, and coordinating change requests.
