Senior Windows Engineer/Developer


On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Sr Windows Engineer for a contract opportunity in Santa Clara, CA.


Sr Windows Engineer Job Details

We are looking for experienced Windows Engineers to help us launch new, state-of-the-art wearable devices and platforms, including augmented reality, fitness coaching, and other comprehensive wearable technologies. As Senior Windows Engineer you will work directly with our product, design and test teams to develop a platform for creating the most innovative wearable products. You will be working with enthusiastic and experienced peers in an environment that facilitates delivering industry-leading solutions with both creative-edge and high quality.ย 


What You Will Be Doing :

Developing Windows based application platform and reference applicationsย 

Designing, developing and validating mobile platform and reference apps for new wearable devicesย 

Creating public-facing SDK solutions for highly-visible customersย 

Collaborating with remote global teams, including device, cloud, test, etc.ย 


Sr Windows Engineer Mandatory Skillsย 

5+ years of Windows application development. Must have Windows 8.x experience.ย 

Solid expertise in Visual C++ and C# programming skillsย 

Strong understanding of COM, WPF, Windows Store Apps and background servicesย 

Thorough knowledge of RPC, IPC and client-server interactionsย 

Strong understanding of relational databases and SQLย 

Advanced knowledge of Windows OSย 

Experience with various version control systems, including TFS and Gitย 

Experience writing and executing unit tests using Visual Studio 2013+ย 

Essential Object Oriented Programming skills, including concurrency, multi-threading, defensive programmingย 

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, or related major, or equivalent experienceย 

Strong problem solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with tenacity and initiativeย 


Sr Windows Engineer Nice to Have Skillsย 

Experience with Bluetooth LE protocolย 

Experience developing large-scale applicationsย 

Experience developing public-facing APIsย 

Hands-on experience with Design Patterns (you know more than just the Singleton pattern)ย 

Master's Degree or another advanced degree is preferred
