Job description

If you're passionate about helping employees grow, enjoy facilitating engaging learning experiences, and thrive on working directly with leaders and operational teams, you'll feel right at home as our Learning & Development Specialist.

This is a highly interactive, business-facing role that primarily supports our Driver Manager and Customer Service teams. You'll partner closely with Operations and Organizational Development to facilitate learning, strengthen employee and leader development, and help employees apply what they learn on the job. You'll also use digital learning tools, technology, and AI to make learning more accessible, effective, and efficient.

In this role, you'll...

  • Facilitate engaging instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs for employees and leaders, with a primary focus on Driver Manager and Customer Service development.
  • Partner with Organizational Development and Operations leaders to understand learning needs and develop practical solutions that support employee performance and business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders, subject matter experts, and employees to understand the business and ensure learning connects to real-world challenges.
  • Maintain, and continuously improve existing learning programs, content, facilitate resources, and programs-supported tools using adult learning principles.
  • Support onboarding by providing learning resources, tools, and guidance that help new employees build confidence and succeed in their roles.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify learning opportunities and development strategies that support employee growth and operational excellence.
  • Create and manage digital learning resources, including eLearning modules, videos, performance support tools, and SharePoint learning sites.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness through assessments, surveys, feedback, and business performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and recommend improvements.
  • Leverage AI and emerging learning technologies to improve learning engagement, knowledge sharing, and administrative efficiency.
  • Coordinate multiple learning projects simultaneously while managing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support leadership and employee development programs that strengthen organizational effectiveness and succession readiness.
  • Stay current on industry trends, learning technologies, and best practices to continuously elevate the employee learning experience.

Must Haves for Success

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating instructor-led learning, training programs, and employee development initiatives.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage different audiences and create an interactive learning environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to translate business and performance needs into practical learning solutions.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to ask good questions, facilitate discussion, and help employees apply learning on the job.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with experience evaluating program effectiveness and recommending improvements.
  • Comfortable using technology to support learning, with the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and digital tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with SharePoint or similar content management platforms .
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning tools, digital video, or other learning technologies preferred.
  • Ability to use feedback and performance information to evaluate learning effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, including infrequent overnight travel.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000. Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based compensation programs where applicable.
