Job Summary:
Damco Solutions is seeking a Senior Developer Workspace Engineer who combines hands-on development expertise with end-user technology proficiency. The role focuses on designing, building, and promoting developer workspace solutions for improved onboarding and support.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement developer workspaces using physical, virtualized, or browser-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain tools primarily using Python and Java to improve developer productivity.
• Advocate and implement CI/CD enhancements through modern tooling and libraries.
• Build patterns for desktop provisioning and software package management using SCCM, VDI, or similar technologies.
• Lead initiatives to integrate Generative AI capabilities into developer workflows.
• Partner with end-user collaboration platforms to create seamless developer experiences.
• Ensure solutions comply with audit, risk, and governance standards.
• Evangelize best practices and educate development teams on workspace tooling and improvements.
• Support setup and ongoing maintenance of workstation environments (physical, virtual, or browser-based).
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong development experience in Python and Java.
• Deep understanding of developer workspace design and tooling.
• Ability to explain, educate, and influence developers on best practices.
• Experience with container creation, usage, and management.
• Expertise in desktop provisioning and software distribution.
