What is a Workshop Creative?

A Workshop Creative is a professional who specializes in designing, planning, and facilitating creative workshops. These workshops can focus on a variety of topics, such as art, design, innovation, team-building, or problem-solving. Workshop Creatives utilize interactive methods to engage participants, encourage collaboration, and foster creative thinking. They often work with organizations, educational institutions, or events to help individuals or teams develop new skills and generate fresh ideas.

How does a Workshop Creative typically collaborate with other departments during a project?

A Workshop Creative frequently works alongside teams such as marketing, production, and design to develop and execute engaging concepts for campaigns or events. This role often involves participating in brainstorming sessions, presenting ideas to stakeholders, and incorporating feedback from various departments to ensure alignment with brand objectives. Effective communication and adaptability are key, as Workshop Creatives must balance creative vision with practical considerations like timelines and budgets. Collaboration is integral to the workflow, fostering an environment where ideas can be refined and brought to life through teamwork.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Workshop Creative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Workshop Creative, you need a strong background in design thinking, hands-on fabrication, and creative problem-solving, often supported by a degree in fine arts, design, or a related field. Familiarity with tools such as CAD software, woodworking equipment, or digital fabrication systems like laser cutters and 3D printers is typically required. Outstanding communication, collaboration, and adaptability are crucial for working with diverse teams and translating ideas into tangible outcomes. These skills ensure that creative concepts are executed effectively and safely, resulting in innovative, high-quality workshop outputs.

Job description

About Krea
At Krea, we are building next-generation AI creative tools.
We're dedicated to making AI intuitive and controllable for creatives - our mission is to build tools that empower human creativity, not replace it. We believe AI is a new medium that allows us to express ourselves through various formats - text, images, video, sound, and even 3D. We're building better, smarter, and more controllable tools to harness this medium. We recently took this a step forward with the launch of Krea 2, our first foundation model, built completely from scratch for aesthetic diversity and stylistic control.
We've raised over $83M and are backed by world-class investors such as a16z, Bain Capital, and Abstract. We work full-time and in-person at our waterfront office in San Francisco. We care about creativity: our team includes musicians, designers, visual artists, and engineers.
This role
We're looking for a Creative Lead to work directly with our enterprise clients and help them get real value out of Krea. You'll run demos, lead workshops, build workflows for their production pipelines, and bring what you learn back to the product team.
What you'll do
  • Partner with sales to lead product demos
  • Support enterprise clients through their journey with Krea - onboarding, workshops, Q&A, and more
  • Lead workshops on new features, models, and workflows for the different verticals we work with
  • Come up with new ways to reinvent existing creative production pipelines using Krea
  • Stress test the product and be the voice of the customer inside Krea
  • Test new features and share feedback with the product team before launch
What we're looking for
  • Taste - a strong, well-developed point of view on what good creative work looks like
  • Strong communication skills; you're comfortable presenting and explaining ideas to clients and internal teams alike
  • Client-facing experience - you've worked directly with clients before, ideally in a creative or production context
  • Fluency with AI creative tools - you've used them regularly and know your way around the space, not just Krea
Nice to have
  • A public presence as a creator - an audience or portfolio people already recognize
  • Existing relationships with creative teams, studios, or brands we might work with
What we offer
  • Team: Work alongside a world-class team building the future of AI creative tooling
  • Impact: Significant scope and company-wide impact
  • Competitive compensation: generous salary & equity packages
  • Health & wellness: 100% health & 99% dental/vision insurance premiums covered for employees, health FSA accounts, & long-term disability coverage
  • Time off: Flexible PTO policy
  • Financial planning: 401k with a 4% company-sponsored match
  • Meals in the office: breakfast, lunch, dinner - you name it, we'll cover it
  • Transit: Ubers covered to & from the office
  • Sponsorship: We're open to sponsoring international visas where we can (e.g., STEM OPT, OPT, H-1B, O-1, E-3).
  • And more!

Please note the above benefits & perks are for full-time employees
