Job description

Structural Steel Project Manager
Wage Range: $100K+ DOE
Agate Steel is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager/Estimator to manage steel fabrication and steel erection projects from award through closeout. This role oversees project management, estimating support, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and team leadership, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position will professionally represent Agate and support Company initiatives that will continue to exceed the expectations of our clients and construction partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing 3-4 structural steel construction projects, reviewing shop drawings and contract documents, coordinating fabrication and field operations, mentoring project engineers, and working with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and owners. The Project Manager also supports estimating, including takeoffs, labor analysis, material pricing, bid reviews, forecasting, and project cost reporting.
Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates that possess drive and determination with experience in the following;
5-15 years of structural steel project management experience, hands-on shop and field experience, strong drawing interpretation skills, and experience managing subcontractors. Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Microsoft Office required; Tekla, FabSuite, Viewpoint/Vista preferred.
