Job description

Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through technology by combining the real and digital worlds. We put our people first and create opportunities to grow, contribute, and transform the everyday.
Transform the everyday with us
Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Workplace Experience & Site Operations Manager to own the day-to-day workplace experience and internal service operations for our Protection and Automation & Customer Service (PACS) manufacturing facility in Wendell, North Carolina.
This professional-level role is designed for someone who combines hands-on site coordination with process ownership, data-driven service management, and continuous improvement. You will establish workplace standards, lead service-improvement projects, monitor key performance indicators, coordinate vendors and internal partners, and ensure employees, customers, candidates, and visitors experience a professional, organized, and reliable facility.
Why this role matters: You will create the operating system behind the workplace, making services measurable, repeatable, responsive, and easier for employees and plant leadership to use.
You will make an impact by
  • Owning the PACS workplace operating model, including service standards, procedures, responsibilities, escalation paths, and communication routines.
  • Developing and monitoring workplace KPIs for service-provider performance, visitor readiness, onboarding readiness, room availability, issue response, closure time, and employee experience.
  • Analyzing workplace data, recurring issues, and employee feedback; recommending priorities and implementing measurable improvements.
  • Leading workplace projects such as site activation, space changes, visitor-process implementation, amenity launches, service transitions, and onboarding-process improvements.
  • Managing the performance of contracted workplace service providers by setting expectations, reviewing results, documenting gaps, and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Serving as the local escalation point for workplace-service issues and providing plant leadership with clear options, recommendations, status, risks, and follow-through.
  • Coordinating customer, supplier, candidate, and leadership visits, including access, room readiness, catering, agendas, hosts, and on-site logistics.
  • Overseeing conference-room operations, shared-space standards, visitor-management processes, amenities, common areas, office supplies, and front-desk service execution.
  • Coordinating site-specific onboarding readiness for production employees in partnership with hiring leaders, P&O, IT, security, and other support functions.
  • Supporting budgets, forecasts, purchase requests, invoice coordination, service records, dashboards, and periodic workplace-performance reporting.
  • Creating checklists, playbooks, training, and communications that make workplace processes consistent and easy to follow.
  • Building effective partnerships across plant leadership, security, facilities, IT, P&O, project teams, customer-facing teams, and external providers.
You will win us over by having the following qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of experience in workplace operations, office management, corporate services, facilities coordination, hospitality operations, property administration, or a related field.
  • Experience independently coordinating workplace services, vendors, visitors, events, employee onboarding, or site operations.
  • Experience developing or improving processes, procedures, service standards, tracking tools, dashboards, or performance measures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, manage competing priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and drive work through completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to work professionally with employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, and senior leaders.
  • Ability to work primarily on site and move throughout an office and manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality, workplace management, facilities management, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or customer-facing facility.
  • Experience managing service providers and reviewing quality, responsiveness, cost, or service-level performance.
  • Experience with visitor-management, access-control, room-booking, purchasing, reporting, or service-request systems.
  • Experience developing KPIs, budgets, presentations, dashboards, or leadership reports.
  • Experience leading workplace, space-activation, move, event, or operational-improvement projects.
What success looks like
  • Workplace services have clear ownership, documented standards, measurable KPIs, and reliable escalation paths.
  • Employees and visitors consistently experience a professional, organized, and welcoming facility.
  • Customer visits, onboarding activities, events, and leadership engagements are prepared in advance with clear ownership.
  • Service-provider gaps are identified through data and observation, then followed through to sustainable resolution.
  • Plant leaders receive concise reporting on workplace performance, risks, trends, and improvement priorities.
  • Feedback and operating data lead to visible, practical improvements for office and production employees.
