Position Summary
The Drilling & Completions Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of safe and cost-efficient D&C and workover operations. This individual will collaborate with safety, operations, regulatory, engineering, and procurement to provide/update/execute D&C operations. This individual has strong communication skills with the ability to positively influence and work with Wellsite Supervisors, contractors and staff. Travel is expected for this position to other company locations, including but not limited to field sites and project-based areas. Salary commensurate with experience. The role will report to the Drilling & Completions Manager and be based in Houston, Texas or Midland, Texas.

Essential Job Requirements
- Prepares detailed procedures and SOPs as needed to ensure D&C operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and reliably in compliance with PWS and State safety and regulatory requirements
- Performs detailed historical well reviews to ensure feasibility and accuracy of workover proposals
- Generates cost estimates and AFEs for economic reviews and approvals
- Works with procurement team to generate PO lists for cost tracking and payment
- Remains engaged with ongoing operations, and works with Wellsite Supervisors to provide 24/7 rig support and advise on scope or procedural changes
- Assist optimize rig scheduling to prioritize profitability, volumes, efficiency, and deadlines
- Reviews daily workover reports for accurate and complete descriptions of operations, cost, and equipment
- Analyzes cost and performance data, prepares detailed lookbacks to document learnings and identify opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements.
- Travels to field to engage with Wellsite Supervisors and support operations as needed. There is no minimum travel requirement, but semi-regular trips should be expected to be most effective in the role.
- Works with Regulatory Team to support all regulatory filing and ensure proper reporting and procedures adhere with regulatory requirements
- Manages service quality by setting standards for vendors and engaging in performance feedback as needed.
- Collaborates with Procurement to maintain vendor list and identify opportunities for cost improvements
- Reviews and approves applicable tickets and invoices for accuracy and proper coding
- Adheres and leads by example to regulatory and safety guidelines, as well as Company policies and procedures.
- Stays up to date with new technologies and constantly look for ways to improve safety, efficiency, and cost
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by leadership

Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with D&C and workover operations
- Proficient in well control, with detailed understanding of casing design, barriers, and well architecture
- Ability to independently plan, execute, and troubleshoot D&C and workover operations for routine repairs, complex fishing, leak detection and casing repairs, and other unique/challenging operations
- Detailed understanding of fishing tools and operations
- Experience interpreting wireline logs including CBL, ultrasonic, leak detection,
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, working independently and as part of a team
- Excellent with computer software including Microsoft office suite, D&C reporting software (such as Wellview / OpenWells / WellEZ)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, consistently meets deadlines
- Capacity to work effectively with changing priorities and interruptions
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of experience with D&C and workover operations
- 2 years of experience developing workover procedures with technical competency specific to SWDs
- WellEZ experience
