Job Summary

Pathways Academy is a public charter school that has a unique and flexible learning environment that allows school-aged parents to successfully complete their education. We are looking for highly dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of these students. The school offers an intimate setting of under 200 students with a blended instructional model. Students from grades 7 through 12 attend school while their childcare needs are being met at the same location or virtually online while being supported off-site by a mentor or advocate. We believe everyone deserves the best in life – starting with a great education


We currently have an immediate opening for a High School Math Teacher. This is a 10 month position. The Math Teacher will conduct student assessments to identify those eligible for intervention services, plan, instruct, and/or assist students in learning various assessment techniques. Must have Michigan Teacher Certification.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Math preferred)
  • Michigan Teacher Certification
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience (Math Intervention Teacher, a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Requires a criminal history background check, proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status.
