Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a key member of the hospital team, responsible for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and their pets. In a general practice setting, the CSR manages a high volume of routine appointments, preventive care visits, and client communications while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a warm, professional, and empathetic client experience at every interaction

  • Answer phones promptly and effectively, addressing questions, concerns, and requests

  • Schedule appointments, procedures, and follow-ups with attention to clinic flow and patient needs

  • Greet clients and patients, ensuring accurate check-in and check-out processes

  • Educate clients on preventive care, wellness plans, and hospital services

  • Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions accurately

  • Maintain complete and accurate client and patient records in practice management systems

  • Coordinate communication between veterinarians, technicians, and clients

  • Support the care team by managing workflow and client expectations during busy periods

  • Handle sensitive or emotional situations with compassion and professionalism

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1+ year of veterinary customer service experience
