Job description

Veterinary Technician / RVT (Full Time)

We are looking for a Veterinary Technician or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) We provide Full benefits including PTO, Sick hours, Medical, Vision, Dental, and 401K. Benefits are outlined in the employee manual and are separate from the hourly wage. Salary is no bar for the right candidate.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Enjoys working with animals.

Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.

Is soft-spoken and maturely approaches their job duties.

Is a good team worker.

Has outstanding client communication skills.

Physical Effort:

Work requires lifting and carrying animals (will be assisted by other staff members in raising animals over 40 lbs).

Walks or stands for extended periods.

Duties:

Endotracheal Intubation.

Monitoring Anesthesia.

Vaccines administration.

Medical history intake.

Blood draw.

Catheter placement.

Sterilizing instruments.

Xrays.

Restraining.

Cleaning.

Drug calculations.

Assist the veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures; prepare patients for surgery; administer anaesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; and help with fluids.

Recognize and respond to emergency procedures such as bleeding control, resuscitation with oxygen, opening airways, and external cardiac massage (CPR).

Requirements:

Minimum 12 months of experience in the veterinary field, Surgical and anaesthesia experience.

Flexible schedule, including one day on the weekend.

Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail.
