Development Coordinator
Position Details
Position Location: Santa Ana, CA
Status: Non-exempt, Temporary through October, 2026
Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Reporting To: Director, Fund Development
Travel Requirements: 25% local travel

Position Overview
Working Wardrobes is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Development Coordinator to support donor stewardship and retention efforts. This part-time role plays a critical function in ensuring donors feel valued, connected, and informed about the impact of their giving.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about building meaningful relationships through thoughtful communication, timely acknowledgment, and consistent follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Stewardship & Retention
  • Draft and coordinate the mailing of donor acknowledgement letters in a timely and personalized manner.
  • Responsible for donor acknowledgement by thanking donors through email, letter or phone; or connecting with team members for acknowledgement.
  • Re-engage lapsed donors by connecting them to volunteer opportunities, event invitations, in-person tours, and other meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Work with Development team to enhance donor relationships, increase likelihood of continued support, and develop new recognition opportunities for donor communities.

Database & Donor Tracking
  • Maintain accurate donor and volunteer records in the CRM, capturing key interactions and supporting tracking of donor touchpoints to ensure timely, consistent, and relationship-focused follow-up.

Event & Engagement Support
  • Support development events through a variety of coordination and on-site responsibilities, as needed.
  • Works closely with the department staff to ensure proper follow up with event attendees, prospects, and donors.

Administrative & Department Support
  • Provide administrative support for committees, including but not limited to preparing agendas and materials, taking minutes, tracking action items, and maintaining accurate rosters and records.
  • Handles administrative and clerical responsibilities needed to support the senior department members as requested.
