Job Opportunity: Full-Time Neurologist - Join Our Dedicated Healthcare Team!

Position: Full-Time Neurologist (4.0 or 4.5 days per week)
Location: Rural healthcare system in a picturesque, four-season region of northern New England
Affiliation: Non-profit healthcare system with multiple Critical Access Hospitals.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a board-certified Neurologist to work alongside a skilled neurology team to meet growing clinical needs and enhance neurology services. This role provides general neurology care for patients ages 16 and up, encompassing medication management, patient and family education, diagnostic test ordering, and referrals to specialists within the system and to tertiary centers.

Common Conditions Treated:

  • Migraine, Memory Loss, and Headache
  • Parkinson’s Disease and Essential Tremor
  • Cognitive Impairment, Dizziness, and Epilepsy
  • Multiple Sclerosis and Polyneuropathy

Collaborative Team:
Join a dedicated neurology team, working with radiologists, EEG technologists, MAs, RNs, and physical therapists to provide comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Preferably 2-5 years in a general neurology setting; new graduates from residency or fellowship are encouraged to apply.
  • Rural Health & Solo Coverage: Comfortable working in a rural setting with solo coverage responsibilities, collaborating with a limited but skilled specialist network.
  • Special Interests: Clinical expertise in areas like headaches, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, or EEG interpretation is a plus.
  • Additional Skills: Proficiency in Botox injections and EEG interpretation is desirable but not required. No NCS/EMG experience is required.

Practice & EMR Details:

  • EMR System: Meditech Expanse
  • Appointment Durations: Initial new patient appointments are 40-60 minutes, transitioning to 20 minutes for established patients and 60 minutes for new patients after orientation.
  • Daily Patient Flow: Typically, 12-16 patients per day, with 2-4 new patients daily.
  • Care Locations: Rotating within the system’s main and outreach clinics as determined by operational needs.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $300,278 for a 0.89 FTE position
  • Vacation: 5 weeks per year, plus 5 sick days and 6 holidays
  • CME: 2 weeks annually and $4,000 CME fund
