Job description


The Commercial Services Advisor works directly with existing commercial and small business customers to qualify, facilitate on-boarding and implement new treasury services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards with customers and all internal bank departments;
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and procedural expertise of United Bank's treasury services product line to maximize sales effectiveness and to advise existing commercial customers with product inquiries and requests;
  • Work closely with Branch, Commercial Services, Treasury Management Operations and other bank department staff to respond to treasury services needs;
  • Identify treasury management product needs and propose solutions to commercial customers that best meet their needs, facilitate on-boarding, implementation and customer satisfaction;
  • Maintain and establish profitable deposit relationships that will maximize noninterest income opportunities for United Bank;
  • Work closely with other departments to facilitate pre-qualification of clients for treasury services;
  • Conduct training for customers utilizing internet banking and related modules and coordinate with Treasury Management Operations for additional training support, as needed;
  • Interface with all lines of business in order to grow both non-interest income from existing commercial clients;
  • Cross-sell other bank products and services and capitalize on opportunities to expand business, referring clients to other areas of the bank for additional needs where appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, business major is preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of working directly with commercial clients
  • Minimum of three (3) years of working banking experience required, preferably in a related Treasury Management and/or customer contact area preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Spanish or additional language a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of the treasury services offered by United Bank
  • Prior customer contact skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products required
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and understand the various product lines and services offered by the Bank and to continue to stay current on all products and services
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Spanish or additional language a plus
  • Excellent presentation and problem solving
  • Demonstrated excellent listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 10% within assigned region/state.

Company Profile
In Fairfax, VA the expected base pay, and salary range for this role is $59,774 to $98,612. Placement within the range will be determined on an individualized basis commensurate with experience and skills and is only one part of the total compensation package. Your base salary may be subject to an annual merit increase based upon performance and, depending on the position, may be eligible for cash bonuses, long-term incentives, commissions, and other United Bank sponsored benefit programs.
