Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist that supports accounting operations and financial reporting activities by analysis, reconciliations, month-end close support, and maintenance of accurate financial records. This role serves as a key contributor to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting function.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions
  • Prepare and post routine journal entries and perform account reconciliations
  • Support month-end close activities and financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Monitor, investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, account balances, and financial results
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities
  • Assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to requests
  • Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information
  • Analyze financial results and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, and month-end close processes
  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, or monthly financial reports preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a professional services environment
  • Ability to independently manage assigned accounting processes
  • Experience supporting month-end close processes
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis
  • Experience preparing or reviewing monthly financial statements and reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and recommend solutions
