Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Reporting & Analytics Specialist to support KITS and our government customer in Washington, DC. The position is hybrid, requires 2 days onsite. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Koniag IT Solutions (KITS) is seeking a detail-oriented Reporting / Analytics Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience to build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support infrastructure operations, service management, and program decision-making for a federal civilian customer. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with SQL and enterprise BI tools, and can translate operational data from ITSM, monitoring, and infrastructure systems into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


The Reporting / Analytics Specialist will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and reports using enterprise BI tools, extracting and transforming data from ITSM, monitoring, and infrastructure systems to support reporting needs, and supporting monthly and quarterly program reporting.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI tools to track infrastructure health, SLA/OLA performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Extract, clean, and transform data from ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow Performance Analytics), monitoring/observability platforms, and infrastructure systems to support reporting needs.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against operational data sources to support ad hoc and recurring reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the Automation / Tooling / Analytics Lead and functional teams (server/cloud, storage/backup, database, monitoring/SRE) to define reporting requirements and key metrics.
  • Support monthly and quarterly program reporting, including modernization progress, incident trends, and capacity/utilization metrics.
  • Maintain data quality and documentation for reporting data sources, definitions, and calculation logic.
  • Support FinOps-related reporting on cloud cost, utilization, and rightsizing opportunities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and program stakeholders in a clear, actionable format.
Education and Experience:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics role
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write and optimize queries against operational data
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, or a similar BI tool
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and data quality/validation practices
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insight for varied audiences
Security Requirement:
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust
Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience working in a federal government IT environment
  • Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics or similar ITSM reporting modules
  • Familiarity with Python for data manipulation (e.g., pandas)
