Summary:

Goldbelt Nighthawk, LLC has an immediate need for a Senior Data Center Analyst.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible to ensure that the tasks required of the performance based statement of work (PBSOW) are complete and deliverables are executed on time, and to the satisfaction of the Task Lead, Project Manager and government customer.
  • Manage and maintain server hardware, storage systems, network infrastructure, and virtualization platforms.
  • Monitor data center performance, system capacity, and network health, ensuring uptime and optimal performance across all systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring prompt resolution of any outages or system failures.
  • Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery testing, and implement redundancy measures to protect critical systems.
  • Ensure the physical security of the data center, including managing access controls, environmental controls (e.g., cooling, power), and fire suppression systems.
  • Lead or assist in data center migrations, upgrades, expansions, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Assigned staff shall be knowledgeable of Data Center Standards including, but not limited to cabling, power, cooling and security and also knowledgeable in Data Center Management and Monitoring processes and applications.
  • Extensive technical understanding of the operation and management of an enterprise hosted services datacenter.
  • Highly accountable with a significant focus on customer service and high service availability.
  • High degree of initiative and dependability.
  • Excellent technical written, diagramming, and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals as well as management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of related technical experience in supporting and designing data centers.
  • Extensive experience in implementing and managing data center utilization and performance metrics.
  • Experience and understanding of UPS systems, HVAC systems, and other physical infrastructure associated with temperature control and power systems.
  • Extensive experience in executing preventative maintenance on data center and communication rooms.
  • Experience creating and updating diagrams, drawing schematics, and documentation of data center equipment to include serial numbers, asset tags, to location (row, rack, etc.).
  • Experience with supporting data center services 24/7/365 and responding to service interruptions at any time. Ability to work with little supervision, proactively identify and respond to issues before they impact service.
  • Experience with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) practices including Change Management, Problem Management, and Incident Management.
  • Experience with DCOI and DCOI initiative. Experience with datacenter service design and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any additional relevant professional certifications.
