HR & Client Services Coordinator

Reports To: Principal / CEO
Position Summary

Strategic Focus, LLC is seeking a highly capable HR & Client Services Coordinator to support the delivery of HR consulting services across multiple clients while also contributing to internal operational execution, including our education services division.
This role serves as a trusted extension of the Principal, responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting employee relations processes, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery to clients. The ideal candidate brings a strong HR foundation, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently within defined parameters, while escalating complex or high-risk matters appropriately.
Key Responsibilities

Client HR Service Delivery

  • Serve as a initial day-to-day HR contact for assigned clients, including nonprofits and small to mid-sized organizations
  • Execute HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, policy implementation, and compliance tracking
  • Draft and support delivery of employee relations documentation (corrective actions, written warnings, PIPs, termination documentation)
  • Partner with client leadership to support recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening coordination, and onboarding processes
  • Maintain HR documentation, audit readiness, and personnel file integrity across client accounts
  • Support implementation of HR best practices aligned with client goals and organizational standards
Employee Relations & Compliance Support

  • Conduct initial intake and documentation of employee relations matters, escalating complex situations to the Principal
  • Support investigations through fact-gathering, documentation, and coordination
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state (Texas), and local employment laws and internal policies
  • Assist with policy updates, handbook rollouts, and compliance initiatives
Client Experience & Operations

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all client engagements
  • Track deliverables, deadlines, and ongoing HR initiatives for assigned clients
  • Support development and refinement of internal SOPs, templates, and service models
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with client stakeholders
Internal Operations Support

  • Support operational execution of Strategic Focus Educational Services, including:
    • Tutor onboarding and documentation compliance
    • Scheduling coordination and communication
    • Tracking attendance, deliverables, and reporting requirements
  • Assist with process standardization and administrative workflows across service lines
  • Support internal projects, reporting, and operational improvements as needed
Decision-Making & Escalation Framework

This role is designed to own execution and provide recommendations, while partnering closely with the Principal for higher-level decisions.
Independently Handles:
  • Routine HR operations and documentation
  • Recruiting coordination and onboarding processes
  • Standard employee relations documentation (drafting and coordination)
  • Client communication on routine HR matters
Escalates to Principal:
  • Termination decisions and high-risk employee relations matters
  • Formal investigations and sensitive complaints
  • Organizational restructuring or strategic workforce decisions
  • Board-level or executive advisory situations
Qualifications

Required:
  • 2–4+ years of progressive HR experience (HR Generalist, HRBP, or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of employee relations, HR compliance, and HR operations
  • Experience supporting multiple stakeholders or client groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting nonprofit organizations or mission-driven environments
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (APS, Paycom, or similar)
  • Experience in consulting or multi-client environments
  • Exposure to education, workforce development, or program operations
