Job description

Are you a public accounting professional looking to leverage your experience outside of the traditional busy-season cycle? Mohle Adams is currently conducting a search for an Accounting Operations & Workflow Manager. This leadership role will oversee a team of accounting administrative professionals responsible for supporting Tax and Audit operations. Success in this position will require a strong focus on process optimization, workflow management, and continuous operational improvement.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Operations & Workflow Manager will oversee daily accounting administrative operations, ensuring an efficient and organized workspace.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise accounting administrative professionals in providing support and assign duties such as internal and external client support, e-filing tax returns, client billing, preparing documents and other tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows.
  • Develop workflow controls to improve compliance and reduce processing errors.
  • Monitor workflow progress and ensure tasks are completed within established deadlines
  • Implement automation, artificial intelligence and system enhancements where appropriate.
  • Improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting administrative operations.
  • Document and standardize accounting administrative procedures.
  • Data Administrator for SharePoint, Practice Management Maintenance, and firm wide software.
  • Oversee petty cash fund, general purchases for office needs, and firm event planning.
  • Maintain office files; assist in implementing an efficient system for other staff to access files and records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient with Tax E-Filing (Experience with CCH XCM -Workflow, CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, Sharefile Portal, Right Signature, and CCH ProSystem Practice Management is preferred)
  • Ability to type at least 60 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of office management procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree or higher in accounting and/or business administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience working at a CPA firm is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
