Position Summary:
The AI Workflow Designer serves as the organization's AI workflow architect, responsible for designing, optimizing, and deploying AI-powered prompts, agents, automations, and business workflows that improve operational efficiency and decision-making. This role partners with department leaders to transform manual processes into scalable AI-driven solutions that support recruiting, credentialing, revenue cycle, finance, marketing, operations, and clinical support functions.
Position Details:
  • Location: Northbrook, IL
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday on-site.
  • Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, test, and optimize prompts, AI workflows, agents, copilots, and automation solutions that support business operations.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify repetitive, manual, or high-volume processes suitable for AI and automation.
  • Build and maintain a centralized library of prompts, workflows, SOPs, templates, and AI best practices.
  • Analyze business processes and redesign workflows to improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and user experience.
  • Develop governance standards, quality controls, and documentation for AI-generated content and automated workflows.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers, product managers, operations leaders, and end users to implement AI solutions that solve business challenges.
  • Train employees on effective prompt engineering techniques and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Monitor workflow performance, user adoption, accuracy, and business impact to continuously improve AI solutions.

AI & Automation Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize prompts for recruiting, credentialing, revenue cycle, finance, marketing, operations, and executive leadership teams.
  • Build AI-powered workflows using platforms such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Power Automate, Zapier, Make, and AI agent frameworks.
  • Create automated systems for document generation, reporting, candidate screening, provider onboarding, denial analysis, content creation, and operational support.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and workflow technologies to identify opportunities for automation, productivity improvement, and organizational scalability.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Operations, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in process improvement, workflow design, business operations, automation, AI implementation, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience creating prompts, workflows, automations, or AI-assisted business processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear instructions, prompts, SOPs, and workflow documentation.
