Job description

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Leads Mouser's global Automation and Efficiency Program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and measurable business outcomes.
  • Oversees the technical execution, scalability, governance, and continuous improvement of automation initiatives, including RPA, lowcode/nocode solutions, and AIassisted automation.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains a structured automation roadmap, managing intake, prioritization, and delivery of a global automation backlog.
  • Enables and governs a citizen development program, establishing guardrails, standards, training, and support models to empower business users while maintaining enterprise controls.
  • Provides technical leadership and architectural oversight across automation platforms, including workflow automation, Microsoft Power Platform, data-centric tools (e.g., Airtable or similar), and emerging agentic AI capabilities.
  • Establishes and tracks KPIdriven metrics for automation effectiveness, developer productivity, backlog throughput, quality, stability, adoption, and realized efficiencies.
  • Partners with senior leadership and crossfunctional stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, manage expectations, and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Leads strategic discussions with leadership to assess technology trends, recommend platform adoption, and evolve the automation strategy.
  • Develops and maintains a productive work teams by hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance.
  • Manages teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees or their equivalent. Makes suggestions and recommendation for these employees regarding performance, including hiring, transfer, advancement, and termination.
  • Manages daily operations to meet department and company objectives.
  • Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.
  • Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
  • Initiates, establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Skill evaluation: Behavioral (80%)
  • Strong technical understanding of automation technologies, including RPA, workflow automation, and lowcode/nocode platforms.
  • Handson or architectural experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
  • Experience with datacentric and lightweight workflow tools (e.g., Airtable or similar platforms).
  • Working knowledge of AIassisted automation concepts, including agentic AI and orchestration.
  • Proven ability to design and govern citizen development programs within enterprise environments.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills with a focus on KPIdriven outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and peoplemanagement capabilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives concurrently.


 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field, or minimum of 3 years prior work experience that is relevant to the team you will manage. Including:
  • Internal candidates: Minimum 2 years as a highly performing Mouser Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • External candidates: Minimum 3 years as a supervisor or higher-level management position
  • 5+ years of experience in automation, RPA, lowcode/nocode platforms, or enterprise workflow solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing automation programs, technical backlogs, and crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Experience enabling and scaling citizen development initiatives within a governed enterprise framework.
