CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for an Adjuster, Commercial P&C Claims. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of commercial automobile claims, including first-party physical damage and minor bodily injury claims, from initial investigation through resolution. Leveraging your technical expertise, analytical skills, and sound judgment, you will make informed coverage and liability decisions while delivering exceptional service to policyholders and claimants. With a high degree of autonomy, you will play a key role in driving successful claim outcomes, protecting our insureds, and contributing to best practices that support CopperPoint’s reputation for excellence and expertise.
Job responsibilities:
- Proactively handle an inventory of 90-120 commercial automobile claims involving property damage and bodily injury.
- Evaluate coverage, identify potential issues, and prepare coverage letters for supervisor review.
- Investigate liability and damages, determine case value, and set reserves within assigned authority level.
- Manage claims activities in Guidewire Claims Center.
- Provide prompt and professional responses to client and broker requests.
- Assess damages and negotiate settlements fairly and promptly.
- Identify and escalate emerging trends, subrogation opportunities, and systemic risks to internal business units.
- Participate in adjuster training, continuing education, and team roundtables.
- Occasional travel for investigations and team-building events (estimated 5% annually).
Minimum Requirements:
- College degree and/or insurance designations (CPCU, AIC, ARM) strongly preferred. High school diploma required.
- 3+ years of experience adjusting auto casualty claims is preferred.
- Commercial casualty experience strongly preferred.
- Guidewire experience is helpful but not required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.

Salary Range:
- $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually
- Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
- In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
