Workday Financials Manager

LA, Pittsburgh, or Washington DC – Hybrid onsite 3 days per week

Position Summary:

  • Reporting to the Director of the Workday Service Center, you will manage a dedicated team responsible for the seamless operation of Workday Core Financials, Grants Management, Projects, Billing, and Procurement functionalities.
  • This role is pivotal in driving strategic partnerships with our Finance functions to enhance system efficiency and support business objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, guiding the planning, development, testing, and implementation of Workday Financials.
  • Lead the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and new reports, ensuring smooth system operations and user adoption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain data integrity and support Finance business processes.
  • Provide expert guidance on Workday Financials, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical users.
  • Continuously evaluate systems and recommend improvements to support business strategies.
  • Manage and support Workday integration tools, including Workday Studio, EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday Web Services, and Cloud Connect.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between Workday and other business systems through effective integration management.
  • Develop and maintain complex reports using Workday Reporting tools, such as Advanced Reporting, Matrix Reports, and Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT
  • 5+ years of experience with Workday Financials
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience conducting full lifecycle implementations, ideally with Workday
  • Proficiency in Workday integration tools (Workday Studio, EIBs, Workday Web Services, Cloud Connect)
  • Expertise in Workday Reporting tools, including Advanced Reporting and Matrix Reports

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Workday Financials Grants Management
