Job description

Digital Fundraising Manager

Brady has one powerful mission to unite all Americans against gun violence. Each year, thousands of people in the U.S. die from gun violence. We can change that. No organization has a more comprehensive and systematic approach to ending America's gun violence epidemic. They say it can't be done. But we know Americans can do anything; they can even end this epidemic of gun violence. For we are more powerful than any problem when we work as one. Now is the time to unite people, from coast to coast, young and old, liberal and conservative, fed up and fired up, and free our country from what is killing us. It's in our hands.

Brady's Development team is seeking a Digital Fundraising Manager to generate revenue in support of the mission as well as grow and diversify the donor base. The Digital Fundraising Manager will implement a strategic fundraising plan to acquire, cultivate, reactivate, and sustain donors through digital channels (email, website, social media, SMS, etc.), including by managing and deploying paid advertising programs. Working collaboratively with colleagues on the Development and Communications teams as well as with external vendors, this Manager will ensure campaigns are integrated across all digital channels and optimized to convert audiences into donors as a growing segment of Brady's overall revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end digital fundraising campaigns, including copywriting, approvals, production and deployment, hitting deadlines across high-volume calendar of email, SMS and digital ad sends
  • Lead paid media tactical planning and buying across all platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok
  • Serve as EveryAction platform lead; safeguard data integrity and build segmentation, tagging, automation and donor journeys
  • Partner with Brady departments to manage vendor relationships
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications team to align messaging, campaigns, and content with organizational priorities
  • Develop and manage monthly content and strategy plans that attract, engage, and convert donors
  • Set and hit ambitious goals for revenue, donor conversion, and donor retention
  • Monitor and report on campaign results and consistently refine tactics as needed
  • Lead annual fundraising campaigns, including year-end with ownership of strategy, execution, and results
  • Create and execute testing strategies across email, SMS campaigns, donation forms, digital ads, and landing pages to optimize performance
  • Work with Development department colleagues to integrate digital fundraising strategies into ongoing events and programming for unified donor experiences.
  • Stay ahead of the fieldresearch and pilot new tools and tactics to increase online giving and keep Brady competitive with peer organizations
Competencies
  • Innate curiosity to surface information and connections that advance fundraising goals
  • Strong attention to detail and reputation for delivering high-quality work products
  • Talent for exercising sound judgment in the analysis/interpretation of complex data
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple deadlines
  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships
  • Passion for and commitment to Brady's mission and values
Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in direct-response digital fundraising, including managing email, paid, and SMS programs
  • Expertise creating effective conversion-driven strategies and campaigns that map marketing activities to steps in the user journey/funnel
  • Experience working within a variety of digital platforms and tools (e.g., Engaging Networks, Facebook Ads Manager, P2P SMS, etc.)
  • Experience with fundraising CRMs required. Experience with ROI, EveryAction, and ActBlue preferred.
  • Agility with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of best practices for website optimization, multivariate testing, SEO/GEO, social media advertising, list-building, segmentation, and paid advertising
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing compelling and creative direct response campaigns
  • Able to rapidly respond to news breaks, with flexibility to work off-hours as needed for "rapid response" opportunities.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 annually, with the exact salary depending on experience. Competitive benefits include employer-funded health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; pre-tax parking and transit accounts; 403(B) plan with employer match; Employer-paid basic life and AD&D coverage; reimbursement for cell phone use; Headspace subscription; 16 weeks paid parental leave; unlimited PTO plus paid week closure at the end of the calendar year; and eleven paid federal holidays.
