Senior Platform Engineer, Workday (Workday Studio)

We are seeking Workday Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Human Resource technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that's leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One's Human Resource Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

  • Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business

  • Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards

  • Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.

  • Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes and capabilities

  • Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation

  • Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective

  • Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 4 years of Workday platform engineering experience

  • At least 2 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions

  • At least 2 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday platform across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation or Talent and Performance Management

  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workdayusing Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Custom Reports or RaaS solutions

  • 3+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP

  • Workday Integration Developer certifications

  • 1+ years designing and developing solutions using Workday Extend

  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or another cloud service

  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
