Job Summary/Basic Function

The Integration Coordinator is a 2-year position that supports Dickinson College's implementation of Workday Student by coordinating and assisting with system integrations between Workday and third-party or internal systems. Working closely with Workday consultants, Dickinson's Integration lead, campus stakeholders, and external vendors, this role helps ensure integrations are properly designed, tested, and deployed to support institutional operations. The position is responsible for coordinating vendor interactions, assisting with data mapping and validation, supporting integration testing, and helping ensure data accuracy and readiness for production.
Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates Workday Student integrations, leading interactions with third-party vendors and internal system owners. Independently reaches out to vendors to understand integration requirements, timelines, data needs, and testing expectations associated with Dickinson's transition to Workday. Coordinates communication, schedules, and information exchange between vendors, Workday consultants, and campus stakeholders to ensure timely responses and alignment with the project plan. Ensures vendor integration support, subscriptions, and documentation are obtained and maintained as required.
  • Supports integration discovery, design, and documentation activities by developing a working understanding of Dickinson's business processes, data structures, organizations, and system configurations. Assists with data mapping, data validation, and review of integration specifications provided by Workday consultants. Helps ensure data quality in third-party systems required for integrations and escalates data-related issues when identified. Builds foundational knowledge of integration components such as file-based integrations, web services, APIs, secure file transfer (SFTP), and basic security concepts.
  • Coordinates and executes integration testing activities, including preparation of test cases and test data, execution of tests, and review of testing results. Verifies data accuracy, completeness, and successful transfer between systems. Documents issues, escalates defects or data discrepancies, coordinates corrections with vendors and internal stakeholders, and supports re-testing to confirm resolution. Ensures all integrations meet testing and data verification requirements and confirms readiness for production deployment.
  • Tracks integration tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies and communicates status updates to project leads. Supports knowledge transfer from Workday consultants to Dickinson staff. Assists with transition from implementation to post-go-live operations, including documentation and operational handoff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort communicating with external vendors and technical consultants
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail, particularly when working with data and testing results
  • Comfort working with data in spreadsheets or structured files (e.g., CSV, Excel) and performing basic data validation
  • Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them in a practical, real-world setting
  • Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, document findings, and escalate appropriately
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and a collaborative approach to working across departments
  • Strong partnership and relationship-building skills, with a service orientation and genuine interest in institutional mission

EEO/Diversity Statement:

The College is committed to building a representative and diverse faculty, staff, and student body. We encourage applications from all qualified persons.
