The Role
GrizzlyTrek is recruiting experienced Diamond Drillers and Diamond Drill Helpers for long-term mineral exploration projects in the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced core drilling professionals looking for consistent, well-paid work running through the fall, with paid travel and a 4 weeks on / 1 week off rotation.
Through the Jay Treaty, eligible Indigenous candidates born in Canada can live and work in the United States, opening access to long-term drilling careers across the border. We encourage qualified Indigenous tradespeople to apply.
What You'll Do
  • Set up, operate, and maintain diamond core drilling rigs at remote exploration sites
  • Advance drill holes and retrieve intact core samples to target depths
  • Monitor drilling performance and adjust parameters to maintain progress and core quality
  • Handle, label, and store core samples and manage drilling fluids on site
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
  • Rig up and rig down between drill locations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times
  • Drillers direct and mentor drill helpers; helpers assist with rod handling, core retrieval, and site setup
What You Bring
  • Proven experience in diamond or core drilling (drillers); relevant field or labour experience an asset (helpers)
  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow site procedures
  • Ability to work extended 4 weeks on / 1 week off rotations in remote locations
  • Valid passport
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Candidates eligible to work in the U.S. under the Jay Treaty are encouraged to apply.
