SYNERGY HomeCare of Santa Clarita is Hiring Weekend Caregivers
Summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Santa Clarita is seeking experienced, compassionate, and dependable caregivers to join our growing team. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in dementia and memory care, mobility assistance, and safe transfers to provide high-quality, non-medical care to seniors in their homes.

This role is ideal for caregivers who are confident supporting clients with cognitive decline and physical limitations, while delivering care with patience, dignity, and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

  • Provide specialized dementia and memory care support, including redirection, routine reinforcement, and safety supervision

  • Support clients with mobility challenges, including safe ambulation, positioning, and transfers (bed, chair, toilet, etc.)

  • Assist with lifting and transfer techniques using proper body mechanics

  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment

  • Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration needs

  • Provide medication reminders

  • Support clients with light exercise or short walks as appropriate

  • Observe and report any changes in client condition, behavior, or safety concerns


Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Prior caregiving experience required (professional or personal)

  • Strong experience in dementia and memory care (highly preferred)

  • Experience with mobility care, transfers, and fall prevention

  • Familiarity with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke recovery, or hospice care

  • Compassionate, patient, and attentive demeanor

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately

Requirements
  • Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration (or ability to obtain)

  • LiveScan Fingerprint Clearance (or ability to obtain)

  • Current TB test (or ability to obtain)

  • Clear background check (state and federal requirements)

  • E-Verify eligibility

  • Professional and personal references

  • Physically able to perform caregiving duties, including transfers

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance (when applicable)
