Job Summary
The work study program provides funds for part-time employment to help students finance the costs of postsecondary education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity for employment arranged around class schedules, while providing essential services to the College and the community.
Essential Functions
Assist the DMACC Perry Director and Career Advantage Advisor with planning and implementing initiatives that promote careers in education, health care, and the skilled trades.
Serve as a student ambassador by shadowing career pathways.
Represent Future Ready Perry at school visits, career fairs, and community events.
Assist with outreach efforts by preparing promotional materials, managing event logistics, and supporting social media and communication initiatives.
Assist with data collection, participant tracking, surveys, and reporting for grants and program evaluation.
Support special projects that advance workforce development, college access, and career readiness initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned that contribute to the success of Future Ready Perry and its community partnerships.
Required Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled at DMACC, maintaining at least half-time enrollment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, demonstrating enthusiasm for promoting educational and career opportunities to students.
Dependable, organized, comfortable shadowing industry partners.
Professional demeanor, initiative, and a passion for supporting student success and workforce development are essential.
