Job Summary/Basic Function
The purpose of the Federal Work-Study Program is to give a student an opportunity to develop skills, gain on-the-job experience for future employment, and give the student flexibility to work around class schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a Bay College student in the work study program to be considered for this position. Eligibility for work-study is determined after you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Work-study requires that you are enrolled for a minimum of six credits that applies towards semester you are employed.
  • You must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Job Duty
  • Assist in the set-up of lighting/sound/set dressing/AV for Besse Center Theater events.
  • Provide operational support for lighting/sound/set dressing/AV during Besse Center Theater events.
  • Assist in maintenance of theatrical systems.
  • Assist in the set-up of AV equipment for events throughout the campus.
  • Maintains safe, orderly, and clean facilities during events.
  • Assist as the on-site contact for Bay College clients before, during, and after events to ensure that the audio-visual needs for every client's expectations are met in a positive manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Community Events and Marketing Coordinator and the AV Technical Coordinator.
