Carowinds is seeking highly motivated & creative individuals to bring to life our scary and merry cast of characters. In this role you may apply or facilitate any of the following techniques: stage and show make up, latex makeup, prosthetics, airbrush, and other special FX makeup on a variety of skin types, mannequins, and/or masks.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Carowinds Entertainment team, daily assigned duties vary & may include tasks such as: 

  • Applying stage makeup, liquid latex, and other special FX makeup to talent 
  • Learning, cleaning, & complying with safe and appropriate use of all chemicals, products, & equipment (such as air brush machines) 
  • Working with leadership to maintain working condition of latex prosthetics and/or masks including maintenance and cleaning 
  • Proactively setting up workspace for efficient daily makeup application 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Preferred experience with makeup application, theatrical makeup, prosthetics, and/or air brush 
  • Creativity and passion for creating cohesive makeup looks within appropriate storylines

  • Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds 
  • Individuals who can quickly shift their creative gears based on operational needs
