Position Specific Summary
This position works with the Corporate and Foundation Relations team within University Advancement. The student will assist in the team's administrative functions, such as maintaining and updating funding opportunity information, monitoring and summarizing requests for proposals (RFPs), drafting and tracking limited submission competitions, conducting prospect research, updating proposal tracking systems, and assisting with document formatting.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, as many assignments will be completed individually.
Standard Position Description
The student will assist in the administrative functions of special projects. Tasks may include:assist with project or program development and maintenance, perform administrative tasks, assist in data collection and data entry, attend and assist in the scheduling of meetings, provide support for events related to the project/program. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

Required Qualifications
This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided (Students working in an instructional capacity should be very familiar with the subject area in which they are working).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; strong written communication skills; ability to conduct online research; ability to manage multiple assignments independently; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat preferred.
