The Department of Athletic Equipment oversees all GWU Athletics equipment related operations including, but not limited to, laundry services, apparel embellishment and distribution, and event management. The department supports 17 NCAA Division I athletic programs and additional support departments.
Position Specific Summary
The Student Equipment Manager supports the daily operations of the athletics equipment room. This role is responsible for issuing, collecting, maintaining, and organizing athletic equipment and apparel for assigned teams. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Standard Position Description
The student will support athletic and recreation activities. Tasks may include: providing logistical support for athletic events, performing as an intramural sports referee, act as a camp counselor, perform in athletic events, and other administrative duties. Please see the department's position summary for specific duties. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
