Job Summary
The Work Study Student will support the Department of Communication Arts as a Shop Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Employment is contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the build and installation of the production scenery, sound and lighting
• Assists with the build of costumes and run of shows
• Assists with the general running of the box office on daily basis and during the run of shows

Shift Specifics

• Up to 20 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Shifts available Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Other Required Qualifications

• Must be Federal Work eligible.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education

• Stage craft class

Preferred Experience

• Basic carpentry experience
• Basic sewing experience
• Experience climbing ladders

Proposed Salary
$12.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
