Position Description
Department Information
University Events (UE) follows university priorities to plan, support, and execute meetings, events, and programs on campus. A one-stop shop operation, University Events coordinates the efforts of support areas on behalf of event sponsors. University Events provides a high level of customer service to event sponsors while managing limited space and other resources in service of the University mission.
Position Information
Under the supervision of the Room Reservationist and the Scheduling Area Graduate Assistant, the Reservation Assistant (RA) reviews online reservation requests for BSU spaces through our Event Management System (EMS). RAs ensure requests are compatible with the space based on institutional policies and procedures and assign any necessary resources. When appropriate, RAs also send emails to sponsors and service providers to offer resolutions or seek clarification regarding the reservation request.
As an RA, you will work in the UE Main Office location at RSU200. Hours for this position are available Monday through Friday, with shifts varying between 9am and 5pm. A set weekly schedule is established at the beginning of the semester with the Room Reservationist. RAs can pick up additional shifts when available, if the shift does not conflict with a scheduled class and if doing so does not put them over the 20-hour per week cap.
