Job description

About the Role

Step onto a shop floor where every part is different. You’ll start your day by opening a job router, studying a SolidWorks 2D drawing, and selecting the right tooling to bring that print to life. In our job shop (not a production line), you’ll set up your own work, run first-piece checks, and keep quality tight with minimal supervision. This is not an entry-level role—seasoned press brake pros only.

What You’ll Do
  • Configure and operate CNC press brakes from setup through production.
  • Interpret blueprints, prints, and job routers to determine bend sequences and material allowances.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling; perform complete machine setups and changeovers.
  • Form accurate parts within tight tolerances across carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections using calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and other precision tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all shop safety procedures.
  • Flag and report defective materials or equipment issues to supervision promptly.
  • Pitch in with general shop tasks as needed.
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of hands-on press brake operating experience.
  • Proven ability to perform full machine setups independently.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and job shop metal fabrication experience.
  • Deep understanding of bending techniques, tooling selection, and material behavior.
  • Solid basic math skills and comfort with precision measurement tools.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 75 lbs.
Tools & Technologies
  • Press Brake (Amada experience is a plus; Accurpress familiarity is nice to have but not required).
  • 2D Drawings (SolidWorks).
  • Measurement gauges and precision inspection tools.
Proficiencies
  • Heavy Material Handling
  • CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
  • Precision Measurement & Inspection
  • Blueprint Reading
Assessment & Compensation

Candidates who advance will complete a hands-on press brake test during the interview process.

Pay is based on experience and skill level. This position is intended for experienced operators who can set up and run jobs independently from a print.
