Job description

Title: Work Study / Student Worker

Position Type: Workstudy

College: Lamar Community College

Campus: Lamar Main Campus

Location: Lamar

Salary Range: Starting rate for new hires is $15.16 per hour

This application is only to initiate the onboarding paperwork for Students who have already received a work-study award through the financial aid office or a position offer through a grant-based program. Please speak to the Financial Aid office about qualifying for Work-Study or Student Services for any Grant opportunities. 

Job Summary:

This position is for current LCC students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for the current semester.
Applicants must qualify for and be awarded Federal/State Work-Study funds through the Financial Aid office or receive an offer from a grant-based program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Varies by department. Please speak with supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be a LCC student enrolled in at least 6 credits for the current semester.
  2. Applicants must qualify for and be awarded Federal/State Work-Study funds through the Financial Aid office.

Selection Process:

Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package.
LCC will conduct a criminal background check on selected candidate. Employment offiers and continued employment are contingent upon receiving a satisfactory report.
