Job description

Job Description: Position Objective:
To perform skilled machine maintenance work on trucks and equipment and also performing manual work such as moving equipment, tools, and materials.
Job Responsibilities:
• Performs manual tasks such as assisting mechanic in carrying machine parts, tools and materials to and from the job, lifts and holds parts
• Repair hydraulic systems, vacuum module systems and Class 8 and Class 7 Trucks
• Cleaning and sweeping up shop area, clean work areas, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vacuum trucks, tractors and trailers
• Cleans and washes equipment and machinery. Scrapes paint, grease and accumulated material from equipment and trucks
• Perform equipment check-in and check-out for rental equipment
• Will perform routine oiling and greasing of maintenance shop equipment, use of handling and operating tools safely
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Manual dexterity skills
• At least 1 year experience on Class 7/8 trucks, vacuum module repair and or automotive/diesel technology
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more infrequently
• Must have a mechanical aptitude
• Will stand, stoop, crouch, bend and climb short ladders repeatedly throughout the day
• Basic experience with machinery and hand tools
• Must have some basic hand tools
