Job description

We are looking for a man or women to join our team. Must be an experienced auto technician with no less than 2 years' experience. A Virginia state inspection license is a plus, as well as wheel alignment experience. Trans Tech Towing Auto is a full-service garage. We are interested in hiring 1, possibly 2 new team members. Looking for a well-rounded auto and or diesel technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair customer trucks, cars, RV’s and trailers
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
  • Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to our driver or the customer
  • Maintain equipment records

Skills

  • VA state inspection is a bonus
  • Experience changing, mounting and balancing tires
  • Alignment experience is a bonus
  • Welding-A plus
  • A/C-must be certified
  • Exhaust experience
  • Engine & transmission replacement and flush
  • Belts, alternator, battery,
  • Brakes & rotors
  • Radiator/Coolant repair.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnostics
  • Diesel repair-A plus

Requirements:

  • Good driving record
  • Previous experience as an auto mechanic
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have good attendance
  • Knowledge of shop equipment
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Opening available immediately
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 am to 5 pm
