Job description

Wilkes University invites applicants for an Assistant to the Dean & Operations Coordinator in the College of Business and Engineering (COBE). The College of Business and Engineering supports academic excellence through collaborative leadership, efficient operations, and service to faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

The successful candidate is responsible for serving as the primary administrative support for the Dean and providing high-level operational support across the College of Business and Engineering, with additional dedicated support for the Sidhu School of Business. In support of COBE, this position coordinates the Dean's calendar and travel, manages administrative projects and confidential matters, supports college budgets and financial documentation, prepares meeting materials and minutes, assists with faculty and staff onboarding and offboarding, and responds to a wide range of inquiries from internal and external constituents.

In support of the Sidhu School of Business, this position manages school budgets and reconciliations, maintains school records and electronic files, supports special projects and events, assists with marketing material updates, coordinates work-study student support, and prepares presentations, reports, correspondence, and other school-related documents.

An associate's or bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, is preferred. The ideal candidate will have prior administrative support experience, preferably in higher education, along with strong Microsoft Office and database skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, sound judgment, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
