DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This is usually part-time work to provide extra help for administrators, teachers and other staff.
Incumbents of positions in this class are students. Assignments are performed under direct supervision of
higher level employees.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
1. May perform laboring tasks;
2. May assist custodial staff by doing routine cleaning duties;
3. May assist grounds keeping staff in care of fields and school grounds;
4. May assist maintenance staff as assigned;
5. May operate office equipment such as copying machines;
6. May do simple filing;
7. May shelve library books;
8. May assist in recreation activities;
9. Does related work as required.
