JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Review and understand pick lists provided by senior order puller or management, ensuring clarity on order requirements and specifications.
  • Pull orders from warehouse inventory accurately and within designated timeframes to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Inspect parts for both aesthetic and dimensional accuracy, ensuring that only high-quality products are prepared for shipment.
  • Follow instructions from area lead or management to prepackage parts as necessary, ensuring proper packaging and labeling according to company standards.
  • Safely operate forklifts in narrow aisles and tight quarters, adhering to company safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents or damage to inventory.
  • Use scales, tape measures, and calipers to verify product accuracy, maintaining precision in order fulfillment processes.
  • Enter inventory movement transactions accurately and promptly into PC-based programs and handheld scanning equipment, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Produce, print, and apply labels on parts accurately and efficiently, ensuring clear identification and tracking throughout the shipping process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety, efficiency, and ease of access to inventory.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and other departments to coordinate order fulfillment activities and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Conduct periodic stock checks and part counts as needed to ensure inventory accuracy and identify any discrepancies for resolution.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel when stock levels are low, assisting with replenishment activities as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Transfer received items to appropriate storage locations.
  • Collaborate with shipping personnel to prepare orders for outbound shipment, including packing items securely and staging orders for pickup by carriers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in order fulfillment procedures, suggesting and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in training new hires on order pulling procedures, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Execute various tasks, as assigned by your manager, supervisor, or company officer, whether within your standard duties or as requested beyond regular responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Work Experience

  • 6 months – 1 year of order pulling or warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

 

Skills

  • Proficient PC skills (email, scan & upload documents, internet, Microsoft Office, etc.), including warehouse management and inventory software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, other departments, and customers. 
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification. 
  • Utilize tools for measurements and counting (tape measure, weight & count scales, etc.).
  • Proficient in multitasking, effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime hours, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.
  • Available for on-call duty as scheduled, demonstrating readiness to respond to work-related needs outside of regular hours.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
  • Continuous standing and/or walking.
  • Moderate physical effort- working frequently with average weights of ten to fifty pounds or continuously with lighter weights.
  • Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
