About the Role

Block LLP is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager to oversee pre-litigation personal injury matters from intake through settlement. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service.

The Case Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and internal team members. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of personal injury claims, insurance processes, medical treatment coordination, and case management, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

What You'll DoManage Your Cases
  • Manage a pre-litigation personal injury caseload from intake through settlement
  • Review police reports, medical records, insurance information, and other case documentation
  • Open and manage claims with insurance carriers
  • Identify available insurance coverage and obtain policy information and limits
  • Track important deadlines, statutes, and case milestones
  • Keep cases moving forward by proactively identifying and resolving outstanding issues
Coordinate Client Treatment & Records
  • Monitor client treatment and maintain regular communication regarding their care
  • Coordinate with medical providers and assist clients with treatment-related questions
  • Request and organize medical records, bills, and other supporting documentation
  • Track treatment progress and ensure records are collected in a timely manner
  • Help build strong documentation of injuries and damages
Prepare Cases for Settlement
  • Assist with preparing comprehensive demand packages
  • Organize medical records, bills, liability evidence, wage loss documentation, and other damages information
  • Prepare case summaries and supporting documentation for attorney review
  • Work closely with attorneys on settlement strategy and case valuation
  • Help ensure cases are fully documented and ready for settlement negotiations
Be a Trusted Point of Contact for Clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients throughout the life of their case
  • Provide regular and proactive case updates
  • Explain the personal injury process and help clients understand what to expect
  • Respond to client questions with empathy, professionalism, and urgency
  • Provide an exceptional client experience during what can be a difficult time in their lives
Work as Part of the Team
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes in the firm’s case management system
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, litigation teams, and other case management staff
  • Maintain organized and complete case files
  • Follow firm procedures and documentation standards
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in California personal injury case management.
  • Strong understanding of liability, damages, medical treatment, and insurance claim processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Strong follow-up skills and sense of ownership.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in English required; bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Armenian is a plus.
  • Experience preparing demand packages and supporting settlement negotiations.
  • Experience coordinating medical treatment and reviewing medical records.
  • Experience working in a high-volume plaintiff-side personal injury law firm environment.
