Description:

Innovation At Work, Inc. is seeking reliable and customer-focused Telephone Operators to support communications operations at a federal medical facility. Operators will provide professional telephone services by answering incoming calls, routing calls to appropriate departments, and assisting callers with general information.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Route calls to the appropriate hospital departments or personnel
  • Provide general information to callers regarding hospital services and locations
  • Assist with paging and emergency communications when required
  • Maintain accurate communication logs and records
  • Respond calmly and effectively during high call volume periods
  • Provide courteous and helpful assistance to patients, visitors, and hospital staff
  • Follow established communication procedures and privacy guidelines
Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in customer service, call center operations, or telecommunications preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills and clear speaking voice
  • Ability to handle multiple calls and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during busy or stressful situations
