Job description

Make an Impact Where it Matters Most as a Hospital Medicine Physician in Adrian, Michigan

We believe in bringing "better" to our local community in Adrian, Michigan — better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. If you're looking for a role that supports your professional growth and your connection to a vibrant community, we’d love to talk.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit, well-established team of 5 physicians and 4 APPs with the support of a clinical performance nurse and practice coordinator at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital.
  • Seeking a full-time hospitalist to work both ICU covering and non ICU covering shifts.
  • Our hospital medicine team routinely participates in hospital committees, including the medical executive committee, quality care council, pharmacy and therapeutics, and infection prevention and control, among many other hospital groups and ad hoc committees.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in internal medicine.
  • Ability to manage low acuity ICU patients, including critical interventions such as intubations, central lines, and vents.
  • New graduates and residents are welcome to apply.
  • We proudly sponsor H1B & J1 visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.

Scheduling:

  • Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
  • Our day team consists of 2 physicians, including one ICU hospitalist and one non-ICU hospitalist and an advanced practice provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We welcome the challenge of complex cases, working in a 9-bed open ICU. Our ICU covering physician does procedures during the day and is back up for the night.
