Job Summary
The work study program provides funds for part-time employment to help students finance the costs of postsecondary education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity for employment arranged around class schedules, while providing essential services to the College and the community.
Essential Functions
As a DMACC Student Ambassador, students serve as official representatives of the College and play an important role in welcoming, engaging, and supporting prospective students and visitors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead campus tours for prospective students, families, and community groups, sharing firsthand insights on DMACC programs, resources, and student life.
Assist with and participate in recruitment and outreach events, including Discover DMACC Days, college fairs, student panels, orientation, and registration.
Communicate with prospective students via phone, text, email, social media, and printed mailings to answer questions and encourage enrollment.
Perform administrative tasks, such as organizing files, managing recruitment material inventory, preparing mailings, and keeping the office organized.
Assist campus departments with special projects, daily operations, and high-demand support for the Information Center, advisors, and counselors.
Required Qualifications
Must be a currently enrolled DMACC student maintaining full-time status, with a minimum course load of: 12 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters and 6 credit hours during the summer semester.
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Be available to work during peak campus tour and recruitment periods.
Demonstrate strong skills and qualities, including written and verbal communication, exhibiting professionalism, leadership, and reliability, as well as being flexible and adaptable.
Ability to interact effectively with varied individuals and situations and be a positive and enthusiastic representation of DMACC.
Possess technological proficiency.
Exhibit a genuine interest in supporting others and promoting the mission, philosophy, and objectives of DMACC.

Work Schedule
15 hours per week. Daily Tours are 9:00am and 1:00pm Monday - Friday; Discover DMACC Days are typically on Fridays.
