• Provide weekly, evidence-based care through live synchronous video sessions, addressing a broad spectrum of emotional disorders and contributing to the client’s overall mental health and wellness.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that target family dynamics, destructive behavior patterns, and emotional wellness, ensuring they are specific to the diverse needs of your clients.
• Utilize video conferencing software to conduct therapy sessions, making each interaction personable and effective, while ensuring proper etiquette and communication methods adjusted for remote sessions.
• Empower individuals and families to develop coping skills and constructive strategies for navigating their challenges, equipping them with tools to address their emotional difficulties.
• Assess clients’ emotional and mental health needs through detailed evaluations, diagnosing issues, and creating actionable treatment plans in line with professional standards.

Your primary focus will be on adults experiencing a range of emotional and behavioral health disorders. This role emphasizes a holistic approach to therapy, integrating family dynamics into treatment plans when appropriate. Working with diverse clients, you will handle cases that may include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance abuse challenges, often utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to their specific contexts.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in New York State.
• At least 2 years of demonstrable experience providing therapeutic services to individuals struggling with mental and behavioral health challenges.
• Technological proficiency, particularly in utilizing computers and video-conferencing software. Familiarity with telemedicine protocols is advantageous.
• A comprehensive understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic procedures related to diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

• Experience involving co-occurring disorders treatment, group therapy, or substance abuse therapy will be highly regarded.
• Previous involvement in telehealth services or virtual care platforms will be seen as a distinct benefit.
