Work From Home Veterinary Cardiologists typically collaborate closely with veterinary hospitals and clinics by using secure telemedicine platforms, phone consultations, and email to discuss patient cases, review diagnostic images, and provide recommendations. They often participate in virtual case rounds and may guide clinicians or technicians in real time during echocardiograms or other cardiac diagnostic procedures. Effective communication is essential to ensure treatment plans are implemented correctly and to answer follow-up questions from both staff and pet owners. This collaborative approach enables remote specialists to provide a high standard of care while staying connected to the veterinary team and the patient’s continuum of care.
A Work From Home Veterinary Cardiologist requires a DVM or VMD degree, ACVIM (Cardiology) board certification, and advanced expertise in veterinary internal medicine and cardiology. Familiarity with telemedicine platforms, digital imaging software, and remote diagnostic tools is vital, along with maintaining active veterinary licensure. Strong written and verbal communication, excellent time management, and the ability to work autonomously are important soft skills. The first of its kind in the United States, our Pet Help Line has been launched by the same experienced team that created a national 24-hour a day Nurse Line serving over 7 million participants in three countries. whiskerDocs currently supports over 6 million pets across the US and Canada.
We are currently seeking credentialed technicians with Daytime, evening, and/or overnight availability, with an expectation to work 3-4 shifts per week minimum. Shift duration is generally restricted to no more than 6 hours per day to help support work-life balance.
